North Wales has been quite the upcoming location in the UK recently. We’ve seen it on the TV screens with ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here being filmed at Abergele’s Gwyrch Castle. Also, Channel Four filming ‘The Bridge’ at Llyn Brenig on the border on Conwy and Denbighshire. 

Major stars have also been showcased in the area, with Stadiwm Zip World in Colwyn Bay hosting performances from Elton John, Little Mix and Tom Jones in recent years. It is no wonder that North Wales is ever-growing in popularity. 

But what is it like to live here? Well, more than 9 in 10 Welsh residents interviewed said yes when asked if there were happy about where they lived. This makes it the happiest country in the UK! The Welsh language is still widely used across North Wales, and living here, you might even pick up some of this ancient language. The highest amount of Welsh speakers can be found in Gwynedd with 76% of residents speaking Welsh and on Anglesey, with 67% of residents speaking the language.
