There is a very good reason why North Wales was named the ‘Adventure Capital of Europe’ last year, and it’s because of the fantastic and rather unique activities that are available to its guests and residents.

With great hotels near Zip World and the many other attractions here, visiting North Wales is made easy and incredibly enjoyable. If you’re looking for some ideas for an adventurous day out, here’s a taste of some of the fantastic attractions that can be found within North Wales.

Zip World

Ever wanted to feel like superman? Zip World’s ‘Velocity’ and ‘Titan’ exhilarating experiences might just be what you’ve been looking for.

‘Velocity’ is not only the longest zip line in Europe, it’s the fastest one you can experience in the world. You’ll be secured on the zip line which sits at 500m above ground level, before being sent on your way.

Reaching speeds in excess of a whopping 100 mph, you’ll be (very safely) flying over Bethesda’s quarry lake. Try to take in the fantastic views surrounding the lake whilst you’re on the zip line, if you can keep your eyes open!

The ‘Titan’ zip zone in Blaenau Ffestiniog is the largest in Europe, and has not one – but three zip lines to try. You’ll be travelling distances of 2,000m on each zip line, above some incredibly scenic welsh valleys.

Bounce Below

When many of us think of trampoline activities, we tend to think that they’re exclusively reserved for children to enjoy. This couldn’t be further from the truth with Bounce Below.

This unique underground trampolining experience is hidden within caverns underground, which can only be accessed via a train. Visitors can bounce along on six levels, featuring three huge trampolines, as well four industrial slides which are the height of two double decker buses.

The cave, which was once a working Victorian mine, has been atmospherically lit with a variety of colours – you’ll feel like you’re on another planet as you endlessly bounce around.

Dragon Raiders

Dragon Raiders is an activity park in Gwynedd which is based within acres of fantastic welsh woodland. This woodland has been transformed into a dedicated park for paintballing and segway adventures – amongst many others.

The Dragon Raiders Paintball Park offers more than your average paintball experience. With over 30 acres of forest dedicated to the Paintball Park, there are four individual and exciting game zones to choose from.

Paintball

The ‘Car Kaos’ zone will have you trying to get to safety whilst being under fire by your friends – and you’ll be responsible for the safe rescue of a hostage from a car in the woods.

Sci-fi fans will have to try the ‘Rebel Base’ zone, which has the players trying to save the planet from a ‘Deathstar’ invasion. There are craters, secret trenches and storm troopers around every corner of this space themed game zone.

PR North Wales is enjoying a fantastic boost as outdoor activities are appearing more and more.
