Llandudno is the largest seaside resort in Wales, UK, and encompasses several neighboring townships, including Craig-y-Don, Llanrhos and Penrhyn Bay. The town is situated between Bangor and Rhyl and is a 20 minute drive away from Snowdonia National Park. Llandudno is accessible by Railway or by the A55 expressway, which runs along the coast of North Wales. The town was specifically built as a mid Victorian era holiday destination.

There are many attractions in Llandudno, such as two beaches, the Victorian Llandudno Pier, the Great Orme and Happy Valley, the Venue Cymru and a bustling high street. Llandudno has kept its original Victorian and Edwardian style, although it is full of many modern shopping outlets.

The area of Llandudno was fairly uninhabited to begin with, but local businessmen of the time saw potential and decided to build a tram line to the top of the Great Orme which increased tourism in the area, with hotels eventually appearing.

 Ski Llandudno is a popular dry ski slope in Llandudno and is very popular with enthusiasts of the sport. Ski Llandudno is of national importance as the Artificial Ski Championships are held there every year.

One of the main attractions in Llandudno is the copper mines, located beneath the Orme. Many different people have taken an interest in the site, including cavers, archaeologists and geologists. There are tunnels dating back to the Bronze Age, some four thousand years ago.

The landscape around Llandudno is mostly rural, with most of the towns and villages in North Wales lying on the coastline. Nearby Snowdonia National Park is home to Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales.

Llandudno is surrounded by many other interesting villages and towns, including Conwy, a medieval style town home to Conwy Castle and the Afon Conwy, often hosting different festivals throughout the year.
