As with sailing the easiest way to get into the sport is to go to one of the RYAs training schools like the offshore sea school at Pwllheli.
Jet skiing has an incredibly bad reputation among other water users as it tends to produce large wakes, disrupting the waters surface severely, also riders are often regarded with disdain for their ignorance (or arrogance) about this and ski in areas where there are other water users. This puts both them and any other users lives at risk. As a result I recommend you seek proper training from the RYA.

Jetski and Power boating are brilliant for experienced riders. If you havent been on one before then be sure to take a ride on someone elses but not too extreme. If you like it, then why not buy one and get in to it!
 If you are to rent a Jetski/powerboat you will need, a trailer and a suitable vehicle such as a truck to transport your jetski/powerboat to the sea/lakes. There are different types of each powerboat/jetski- so dont get on a very powerful one if your new to this, just use a standard one and dont go too fast because of you go out of control- who knows what could happen? |
