Anyone lucky enough to have spent time at BrightWater Lakes Caravan parks mid Wales will be able to tell you some of the many reasons why it’s a fantastic opportunity to get away from it all and to relax. There are so many fascinating activities and sights in the nearby area that they would have enjoyed and so could you when you take a trip to the heart of Wales.

So what are some of the reasons to invest in a home from home?

The Tranquility

Anyone living in the big city will know that it has its challenges -day in day out- and with some of them being so hectic, you can feel a bit claustrophobic and stressed by how busy everything is.

This is no issue in mid-Wales as there’s nothing but peaceful surroundings in sparsely beautiful environments. Ever felt like you wanted to take a long walk but felt the city was too congested? Then take a stroll around Bala, comforted by the archaic yet stunning sights which are far removed from the hustle and bustle of the 9-5.

The Activities

The old-fashioned nature of mid Wales is alluring, though some people may be dissuaded from paying it a visit as they believe there may be nothing to do.

Simply put, there are possibly more things to see and do in the region than you would find in Cardiff with a fantastic range of attractions suited to people of all ages. If you’re after some water sports then the area is difficult to beat in terms of the different exercises you can partake in. Canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing – you name it and mid wales will be able to provide.

If you’re after something more relaxing then there are many superb events to take your events in the lead up to Christmas too. Panto is aplenty with the massively popular Christmas Arts & Craft Fair highlighting what makes this time of year so special.

The Sights

There are some hidden gems throughout mid-Wales and many of them should provide just the incentive you need to give this historically rich region a visit.

Although not nearly as grand in size as its cousins in Conwy and Caernarfon up north, Powis Castle is sensational in terms of its interior with many illustrious paintings and furniture being housed there. The exterior is equally breath-taking with the Italian and French style being famed throughout the world.

Elsewhere, there’s nothing like jumping on the Ffestiniog Railway to really help you take in the spirit of the area with an excursion to some of the most gratifying sights in all of Wales. This is not be missed and becomes even more attractive at Christmas time when Santa himself will be on-board!
